Cheryl Clinton, a Massachusetts native and fine art painter, is inspired by intuitive memory and light in the landscape. Her paintings invoke the moods, colors, and abstract patterns of nature. The intention of her work is to make visible and lasting, fleeting moments of magic and mystery. All the paintings begin grounded in observation, develop through the process of pushing paint and conclude in an arrangement that, hopefully, evokes the spirit of a place or moment in time.

The invitation for the viewer is to permit the mind to rest and the eyes to play in spending time with this work. Allow a quiet pause, breathe, and enjoy a moment of connection with your imagination.
